Our Verdict: Best Specific For Driving

Visit Site: Driving Fear

If you are one of the legions of people who suffer from panic attacks whilst driving or just from elevated levels of anxiety whilst driving then the Driving Fear program is for you.

A surprisingly high number of people suffer from a fear of driving and so too did the creator of this program Rich Presta.

==> No More Panic Attacks Whilst Driving <==

He fought a constant battle against panic attacks whilst driving which threatened to ruin his life. Determined not to let this driving anxiety continue to affect him he developed his own system to cure himself after months of painstaking research. It is this program that he now offers to others so that other do not have to suffer needlessly as he did.

Whilst there are other panic attack cure programs out there none of them specifically target this aspect of anxiety – the fear of driving. It tackles the very root cause of this anxiety and is essentially what makes this program so effective.

Driving Fear Review Main Points - The reason so many people cure their anxiety of driving with this program are:

Direct Method – You will not find yourself trying to meditate and repeat mantras whilst also learning a varity of self help tachniques. No, not at all, the method you are provided with is a straightforward simple 4 step technique which is backed by considerable scientific evidence and personal testimonies as to its effectiveness.

The Finality – Through using the program you will find that you are required to dig deep into your sub conscious mind to address the very deep rooted cause of your driving fear. Once this is found then you can start to remove this for good and therefore your anxiety also.

Fast Results – It really does seem to be that case that people can completely remove their fear of driving within as little as two days. The technique can be learnt within 15 minutes so you can start applying it right away.

Complete Safety – The effective techniques that you will find yourself using do not require you to put yourself at any type of risk. It is a complete 100% natural cure for fear of driving and panic attacks whilst driving. No medication, self-hypnosis or any other such risk and costly endeavours.

Value For Money – When you factor in the equivalent cost of seeing a therapist to help cure you from panic attacks whilst driving the cost of the program is extremely reasonable and imagine how much better your life will be once you are happy and comfortable to drive your car anywhere at anytime!

Overall then the Driving Fear program is for you if you suffer from panic attacks and anxiety whilst driving. It is specific to your needs and will address your specific problems in a 100% natural manner, safely and effectively. And finally it is backed by a 8 week money back guarantee which really turns this into an easy decision to make. Thanks for reading our Driving Fear review.

Our Verdict: Best For Visual Learners

Visit Site: Easy Calm

The ‘Easy Calm’ approach to curing panic attacks and anxiety by John Mercer is proving very popular with those people who are looking for a natural treatment for panic attacks.

It involves a ten part downloadable video series which provides all of the information, strategies and techniques that you will need to cure your anxiety and panic attacks for good.

==> Ready To Cure Your Panic Attacks!? <==

Easy Calm’s homepage provides a short snappy quiz which suggests whether or not their program is suitable for you or not, you can try it here. They even allow you to watch the first of the video series so you really can try before you buy! Quite frankly this is a no brainer, I recommend that you go here now and watch the first part for free. Of course there is no need to buy and you will get a ton of highly valuable information from the 27 minute long video.

The creator of Easy Calm John Mercer suffered himself from Panic Attacks for over 20 years. The techniques revealed in his video series are the exact techniques that allowed him to quickly and efficiently eliminate all panic and anxiety from his life. In fact it is John himself that fronts the videos which makes it really easy to relate to the content.

OK, so here is what you get: 10 video sessions totalling over 3 and a half hours packed full of potentially life changing information. You will have the opportunity to literally see and hear on a screen in the comfort of your own home the exact step by step process that you need to follow in order to eliminate your panic and anxiety for good!

The big advantage that the Easy Calm system has it is that there is no reading involved, this makes it so much easier for many people to learn the techniques and actually how to apply them to their lives. Too many times panic attacks sufferer’s continue to suffer needlessly as they simply do not enjoy spending time with their head in a book or reading text from a screen which prevents them from discovering the secrets to eliminating panic.

Here are the extremely high quality bonuses that accompany the main video series:

The six minute miracle : A quick visualization session, to eliminate panic attacks during your hectic schedule.

Easy Calm MP3 series : All of the video sessions, in MP3 format. These can be brought and applied anywhere. Even burn it to a CD and play while commuting to work!

Instant tranquillity : MP3 relaxing hypnosis session, to soothe any nerves or jitters.

The Recharger : Meditation MP3 session filled with hypnotic imagery, that can easily be taken with you on an MP3 player anywhere you go!

Overall then, we recommend Easy Calm to people who are visual learners and aren’t keen on spending time with their head in a book. The video’s can be watched anytime over and over again until you get a real feel of the techniques that you need to use.

Many people have achieved success with this system, and considering that the price of this video series is a fraction of the cost of visiting a regular therapist without any of the hassle in terms of travel arrangements make this a really solid investment. At the very least you should check out the first video for free here.

==> Finally A Cure For Anxiety And Panic Attacks! <==

Our Verdict: Scientifically Proven!

Visit Site: The Linden Program

The ‘Linden Method’ devised by a former chronic panic attack sufferer Charles Linden has become known as a genuine program to effectively treat all high anxiety conditions removing all the symptoms and leaving the user with a happy sense of well being free to enjoy life doing anything they wish!

==> Get The Cure – Start TODAY! <==

The Linden Program outlines the method and is particularly designed for people who suffer from: Generalized Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Agoraphobia, PTSD, OCD, Pure O Eating Disorders, Trichotillomania, Emetophobia, Depersonalization, Derealization, Monophobia, School Phobia, Child Anxiety and is likely to be effective in other related conditions also.

The Linden Program has been widely acclaimed in the media, particularly in the Science world and can boast over 115,000 happy customers! That must surely say something about how well it works. That and the fact that the Linden Method comes with a incredible 1 year money back guarantee which really takes away all of the risk and shows how confident Charles is in his method.

A big strong point of this program is that whilst it does cover all the essential background regarding anxiety disorders and panic attack information it focuses mainly on the one single approach which prevents it from becoming overly confusing and stops the user from think getting side-tracked.

The Linden Method also does not involve any sort of self hypnosis, subliminal mumbo jumbo and is based squarely in practical scientific methodology and of course is completely natural not involving the need for any medications and their potential side effects.

Indeed the entire method revolves around a strategy that has proved more effective than any other type of anxiety disorder therapy devised so far, this is also the reason for the media attention. Even the hard to impress National Institute for Medical Health (NIMH) are onboard with this one as they trialled this approach with the public at large and guess what… they found – it worked.

The method you are required to adopt is extremely simple yet devastatingly effective. You will not need to listen to hours and hours of CDs or do any strange self-help affirmations you will simply need to follow the step by step instructions to eliminate all feelings of anxiety.

If at any point you need help or support there is a dedicated support team that is available 24/7 online and via telephone that will actually help you overcome any difficulties either technically or with the program itself (qualified psychologists are available), so you need not feel alone.

To be perfectly honest if you are ready to overcome your anxiety disorder and/or panic attacks, and are open to trying a new approach that has already proven to have a high success rate then you really ought to give this a try, surely you owe it to yourself. The financial outlay is minimal (don’t forget the one year guarantee) especially when compared to the benefits you will get from an anxiety free life!

==> Get Your Freedom Back! Stop Panic Attacks For Good! <==

Our Verdict: Best Seller!

Visit Site: Panic Away

Joe Barry is best known for the famous Panic Away One Move technique featured in his best selling Panic Away Ebook.

It is a fast, effective technique which relieves anxiety and induces a sense of calm whenever it is used…even in people who have been long term sufferers of panic attacks and general anxiety disorder.

The One Move Technique can be used by anyone at anytime including those people who suffer from panic attacks whilst driving, flying, public speaking or indeed any other situation you care to think of.

==> Finally Stop Panic Attacks And Anxiety For Good <==

The ‘One Move’ technique is a form of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which is supported by lots of solid research and is along the same lines as the strategies used by top Psychologists whom are used to helping and curing people with panic attacks and other anxiety disorders on a regular basis.

The first thing the book does is to re-educate you as to the precise nature of anxiety and panic. It goes through all the symptoms and breaks them down as to why you are experiencing them and debunks all the incorrect myths and barriers which frequently prevent people from being able to remain calm, relieve anxiety and reduce the number and severity of the panic attacks that they have.

Once this has been done, you will then be ready to discover and use the much lauded Panic Away One Move technique which has already helped over 46,000 people to improve their quality of life dramatically. Whilst it is not possible to reveal the technique here due to copyright infringements it is suffice to say that this could be the answer that you have been waiting for!

Here are the contents of the Panic Away Ebook:

Definition of Anxiety

Myths And Misinterpretation

The Devastatingly Effective ‘One Move’ Technique

Application of the ‘One Move’

General Anxiety

To Medicate or Not

Tapping in to you Hidden Potential

Conclusion

Chapter 4 demonstrates exactly how to apply the ‘One Move’ technique in all manner of situations and provides numerous real life case studies for you to learn from.

Chapter 5 provides further excellent strategies which will also enable you to relieve anxiety and panic yet further though a combination of little known diet and exercise tips and Distraction and Thought Field Therapy which will enable you to regain that sense of well being and confidence that you used to have!

Should you need it, chapter 6 explains the various options that medicine offers you and provides a host of natural alternatives including a list of herbs and foods that alleviate anxiety naturally!

Chapter 7 reassures you on exactly what to do to achieve your goals, leaving no stone unturned which in itself is helpful. You won’t be left guessing at the end! Whilst the final chapter 8 shows you how it all fits together in one system to end your panic attacks and anxiety for good!

Overall this program receives our highest recommendation of 5 stars. There is just so much positivity surrounding this book, so many genuine testimonials that the Panic Away One Move technique works and so much well presented information that is definitely our number one pick.

There is an 8 week money back guarantee and the price is virtually insignificant compared to how much you would spend on psychologists, medication, travel expense and so on to get this type of valuable information. All in all an easy decision to make for anyone wanting to stop panic attacks and anxiety for good!

If you are struggling for an answer to how to cure panic attacks then you are in the right place. Unfortunately there are no miracle cures to end anxiety attacks. However there are a good deal of treatments available and there is a very good chance that at least one of these can significantly reduce the frequency and severity of your anxiety attacks.

As everybody is different it will really be up to you and your doctor to decide what the best course of action is for your specific situation.

==> My Cure For Anxiety Attacks Here <==

What follows is an outline of the three most common branches of treatments used to end anxiety attacks. The three main groupings are:

Psychotherapy

Herbal Remedies

Medication

It may well transpire that you have success with one particular branch of therapy than another or that you get great result with a combination of two of them. It is up to you to really experiment and of course take doctors advice to determine which combination will end anxiety attacks for you. Now let’s break down the three different approaches further:

Psychotherapy – this will usually involve meeting with a therapist once or twice a week to try a few different strategies designed to alter your behaviour, thoughts and attitudes towards your anxiety attacks and the underlying causes. Common strategies that might be used are: breathing techniques, meditation and guided imagery. You may also be advised/required to attend a local support group in order to be able to share your experiences more and gain advice from other sufferers. For some people this approach alone will end anxiety attacks permanently so make sure you don’t skip this!

Herbal remedies – Some people do not wish to use medication for fear of harmful side effects or addiction and so they may wish to try some herbal remedies to help end anxiety attacks. The four most common herbs used to cure anxiety attacks are: Kava, Valeria, Passion Fruit and Chamomile, these are discussed in greater length here: Panic Attacks Remedy.

Medication – Via a doctor’s prescription several effective medicines are available to and anxiety attacks. These are usually anti-depressants and can take up to four weeks for the benefits to completely kick in so patients may well be required. There may also be side effects but you will be carefully monitored by your doctor to see if the benefits outweigh the negatives.

So, in answer to how to cure anxiety attacks as you can see there are many ways to do so. You are far from alone in your search for a cure and if you take medical advice and seek appropriate support then you have every chance of ending your anxiety attacks.

One thing that really does help many people who suffer anxiety attacks is ongoing support. Through our newsletter (see below) that is what we offer, so please feel free to sign-up and gain ongoing and education about how to cure anxiety attacks for good!

Our Top Natural Anxiety Treatments Revealed!

If you are one of those people who suffer from anxiety, you may well be unhappy at the prospect of having to take a course of medication to deal with the problem.

After all surely tackling the root cause of the anxiety is going to be far more effective than tackling just the symptoms alone through medication and that’s not to mention the possibility of getting side effects from the medication or the long term effects of ongoing continuing useage.

If your opinion is in anyway similar to those expressed above then you are probably more interested in a natural cure for anxiety.

==> Best Natural Anxiety Treatment Here! Start Today! <==

The good news is that there are natural anxiety treatments out there that are free from drugs. Here we are going to underline the two main branches of natural anxiety treatments, they are herbal remedies and psychotherapy. Lets look at these natural cures for anxiety in more detail

Herbal Remedies

The following four herbs are associated with the treatment of anxiety.

Kava, this is a herbal tranquiliser similar in power to Valium/Xanax no less when taken in the appropriate doses. The advantage is that it appears to not be addictive and regular ingestion leads to a sense of happy well being. On the down side larger doses can cause lethargy and fatigue.

Valerian root. This has proven to be a popular herb around Europe for many years now and reduces anxiety and creates a state of relaxation in the patient. The only slight problem is that the herb smells very badly and is not something you would put in your lunch box, importantly though it doesn’t make your breathe smell and is a great natural anxiety treatment.

Passion flower. This is another strong tranquiliser often taken in combination with other herbs as it is said to improve the effective of the other herbs it is taken with. Available in capsule nd liquid extract form.

Chamomile tea is an additional way to add a calming influence into your life. Chamomile has long been associated with calmness and relaxation. Why not substitute your morning coffee for a soothing cup of chamomile.

Psychotherapy

If herbal remedies are not your idea of a natural anxiety treatment then psychotherapy may be what you are looking for. Visiting a psychotherapist via referral from your doctor once or twice a week can really help. A psychotherapist attempts to address the root cause of the problems by changing your thoughts attitudes and behaviours towards the factors that seem to be underlying the anxiety.

Likely techniques that you will be introduced to are: slow breathing techniques, meditation and guided imagery. These can all be highly effective if the patient is willing to give them a go and persist with them for some time before making a judgement as to how effective they are. In fact meditation is likely to be the most effective natural cure for anxiety available.

Comfort should be taken from the fact that many people get excellent results from natural anxiety treatments so why not give them a shot!?

How To Relieve Anxiety?

For those people who suffer from general anxiety disorder the common symptoms of continuing anxiety, worry and a sense of uneasiness can be hugely disruptive to the sufferer’s lifestyle. Fortunately, for those people who wish to know how to beat anxiety, there are plenty of techniques available at their disposable. Here we shall outline some of the most common techniques to relieve anxiety:

Meditation – finding a quiet space to sit and relax in peace for ten minutes per day and meditating can be hugely helpful. All you need to do is to close your eyes and focus on breathing in and out calmly and deeply. The idea is to settle your focus on one fixed thing, it is usually suggested that you focus on your slow breathing to the exclusion of all else.

==> My Anxiety Cure Here! <==

If other thoughts enter your mind, recognise them and then let them go, go back to focussing on your breathing. As you do this more and more you will become much more competent at doing this and you will notice the knock on effects of these calm spells into the rest of your life. Improved concentration, clearer thinking and calmness are common improvements seen by those whom meditate. This is the main answer to the question how to relieve anxiety and shouldn’t be overlooked.

Exercise – this offers such a great release of underlying feelings of frustrations, worries and stresses as well as generating a feeling of well being through the release of endorphins that it should be part of anyone’s defence system against anxiety. It doesn’t really matter what you do, just find something you enjoy doing and do it. Anything from brisk walking to ferocious kick boxing can be done, the choice is yours.

Perspective – get your anxieties and worries in perspective. It is highly likely that the world is not going to end should your fears come to pass. If you are reading this you are more than likely to be one of the ‘lucky’ people to be have been born in a developed country where you are so lucky to have all sorts of luxuries available at your disposable.

Some people find that it helps to actually write down their worries and fears, seeing them written down can make you see them for what they are which is usually not nearly as bad as you had made them out to be in your head. This strategy really can be one of the key answers to how to beat anxiety for good!

Support – there are many support groups available for those that suffer from anxiety disorders. These can be really helpful as they reassure the sufferer that what they are going through is normal and that they are not alone. Advice can be gained from fellow sufferers who have made progress and ‘a problem shared is a problem halved’ as they say.

The 4 steps – If at any time you start to feel the onset of an anxiety attack refer to the four steps located here: how to stop an anxiety attack. These should effectively help you to reduce the severity of any anxiety attacks before they start and certainly reduce the severity of any symptoms.

Medication - Speak to you doctor to see if this is a possibility for you. Depending on your condition and the views of your doctor a course of medication may be adviseable. The possibility of side effects from medication is something that needs to be factored in to any decisions about continued useage of medicine and the possible long term consequences, obviously your doctor will discuss this with you at an appropriate time.

Psychotherapy - A psychotherapist normally seen every week by referral from a doctor can help you to change your behaviour thoughts and feelings in relation to the causes of your anxiety. The likely techniques that are employed by psychoterapists are similar to the aforementioned meditation startegy above but may well take this a step further including guided imagery with the addition of discussion and analysis.

The answer to ‘how to beat anxiety’ is clearly going to be different for each person. Experiment with what works best for you but make sure you give each technique sufficient time to make an impact on your level of anxiety. It can take a few weeks of adopting a new strategy for the full benefits to be realise so be patient before making a judgement.

If you need to stop an anxiety attack right now, here is our 4 step formula explaining what to do:

Firstly, focus on your breathing. Taking long slow deep breaths is extremely important in order to stop anxiety attacks. Make the breaths as long and as smooth as possible. The more you control your breathing the more the anxiety attack will subside. Whilst doing this remember that you have had anxiety attacks in the past and come through them with no problems, so therefore it is highly likely the same will happen again!

Secondly, using your inner voice shout to yourself ‘stop’. End the negative cycle of thoughts right now and prevent the spiral of negative thoughts from getting an even stronger grip on your state of mind.

==> Stop Anxiety Attacks Fast – My Cure Here <==

Thirdly, insert a positive affirmation into your thought cycle. Silently repeat to yourself something along the lines of: “It’s just an anxiety attack and will finish shortly”, “It is only fear that is making my heart rate faster – my heart is fine”, “Everything will be fine”, “I’ve been through these before with no probs and will do so again.”

Fourthly, do not be tempted to fight against the feelings. If you do that, it makes them worse. Accept the feelings that you have, acknowledge them for what they are – just feelings, and let them pass through you. Fighting them holds them in your attention and prevents them from passing through you as fast. Relax and let the anxiety attack run its course safe in the knowledge that you will be fine!

How To Stop An Anxiety Attack In The Medium To Long Term:

Now you need to implement a few strategies to stop anxiety attacks in the medium to long term. Reducing the frequency and severity of the attacks is the end goal here and is perfectly possible if you spend some time learning how to correctly use the following techniques.

These techniques revolve around basic psychotherapy (cognitive behavioural therapy) which attempts to alter the way you behave and act in order to diffuse the anxiety attacks.

Often your doctor would send you to meet weekly meetings with a therapist to stop anxiety attacks without medication, however you can of course pursue and practise these techniques on your own which is highly recommended.

Controlled breathing practise is the first most basic technique. Simply spend a few minutes per day practising taking long slow deep inhalations and controlled exhalations. Whilst doing this is essentially simple, it is the getting used to a settled breathing pattern that is so important. If you can formulate your own steady pattern of breathing then it will be much easier to control your breathing if you feel an anxiety attack beginning to come on.

The second technique is to meditate regularly. This is not some religious activity but involves simply spending 5 -10 minutes per day sitting quietly with your eyes closed focused on your breathing as above. Whilst focussing on your breathing allow all other thoughts to drift away. Doing this provides a surprisingly great release of anxiety and lowers the general underlying level of anxiety for the rest of the day. Doing this consistently, over a period of time, can significantly help to stop panic attacks.

The third technique to stop panic attacks is an extension of meditation. Whilst you are meditating you need to start visualising. You need to build a picture in your mind’s eye of yourself relaxing somewhere – happy and care free. You could picture yourself sunbathing on the beach, hiking in the mountains whatever symbolises relaxation to you.

Build this picture of you in your mind and focus on really feeling the feelings that you would as if you were there. Feel the sun on your skin, the wind in your hair and allow yourself to feel the same feelings of relaxation. The more often you do this the easier it will become. Once you have done this a few times, the next time you start to feel an anxiety attack coming on you can start to visualise and instead of the feelings of anxiety getting worse, they will get less and less as you slip back into your deck chair on the beach or mountain lodge in the Alps.

Mastering the above techniques is a sure fire way to stop anxiety attacks. Some sufferers who have difficulty with these techniques may in consultation with their doctor try a course of medication to stop anxiety attacks.

The most common types of medication prescribed are anti-depressants. These do of course come with side effects and it is down to the patient alone as to whether or not they feel that the overall benefits out-weigh the negatives. Typical side effects of antidepressants include: depression, feelings of agitation, nausea, headaches, dizziness, vision problems, insomnia and abdominal pain.

It should also be remembered that it can take up to one month of medication before the full benefits are felt of the medication.

Overall though, it should be of comfort to sufferers that much research is being done to better answer how to stop an anxiety attack and that many people can and will learn to stop anxiety attacks through the techniques outlined above.

We take A Look At What Causes An Anxiety Attack

An anxiety attack is more commonly known as panic attack and can be a very unsettling experience for the sufferer to endure. Typical symptoms of an anxiety attack are: trembling, hot flushes, chills, shortness of breath, chest pain, a sensation that your heart is beating irregularly (palpitations), sweating, a choking sensation, dry mouth, a need to go to the toilet, ringing in your ears, a feeling of dread, or a fear of dying, dizziness, feeling faint, a churning stomach, nausea, numbness or pins and needles, a tingling sensation in fingers, shivering and also shaking.

So, what causes and anxiety attack? Well, the deep rooted underlying causes are generally thought to be due to a combination of one or more of the following 4 factors:

==> Get My Anxiety Attack Cure TODAY! <==

A neurotransmitter imbalance. Neurotransmitters are chemicals that occur naturally in the brain but need to be at the correct levels. Individuals in whom the chemical levels are not within normal ranges appear much more likely to have anxiety attacks. Many of the medications for anxiety attacks which ease the symptoms attempt to alter the levels of neurotransmitters.

The flight or fight response. This is the bodies most effective defence mechanism and can be triggered inappropriately in certain people. When a person is faced with a potentially dangerous situation hormones such as adrenalin are secreted into the blood stream which essentially prepares the body for exercise by increasing the rate of breathing and increasing the speed of the heart. The following conditions can trigger this flight or fight response and therefore an anxiety attack may follow: claustrophobic conditions, illness, acute stress, habitual hyperventilation, chronic stress, excessive caffeine intake, strenuous physical activities and/or an abrupt change of environment.

Feelings of general anxiety and panic can erupt at any point to become a full blown anxiety attack. Certain life experiences produce an underlying feeling of unease which could be the root cause of this. Common examples of this include: bereavements, loss of a spouse, becoming a parent, employment issues for example loss of a job, or the continuing participation in a stressful career.

Genetics. There may also be a hereditary predisposition to anxiety attacks. It will often be the case that other family members both from within the same generation and from above may also have experienced at some point an anxiety attack. To what extent anxiety attacks are hereditary has not yet been fully determined.

Often just before a panic attack occurs the sufferer themselves or a bystander may notice one or more of the following signs or symptoms: withdrawal from groups and social interaction, communication difficulties, irritability, becoming easily exhausted, insomnia, over eating or loss of appetite, and restlessness. If these symptoms are noticed appropriate prevention measures can be taken to try and prevent the attack, you can find more information about this here: help with panic attacks.

So, ‘what causes an anxiety attack?’ is actually a tough question to give a specific answer too with there being so many potential different causes, however, what we do know is that there are many effective treatments that you can try and in many cases anxiety attacks can be effectively overcome.

It is impossible to talk about the causes of anxiety disorders without first being clear about what we mean by the phrase ‘anxiety disorder’. For purposes of this article it refers to the following six types of generally accepted disorders that come under the broad umbrella of anxiety disorders: obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, social and specific phobias.

For a further breakdown and definition of these conditions please see the following link: what is anxiety disorder?

As you can see these conditions are quite wide ranging offering different symptoms and requiring different treatments. For this reason it is difficult to provide the exact causes of anxiety disorders. It is difficult to generalise for the entire population when each person is suffering their own specific condition and of course when they think and act differently anyway.

==> Cure Your Anxiety Disorder Start TODAY! <==

That said, scientists have come to some agreement as to the general underlying causes of anxiety disorders and here they are in no particular order:

Genetics. Anxiety disorders have been clearly found to run in families. A variety of studies have now been conducted that essentially prove there is a genetic basis which predisposes certain people to these types of disorders.

Brain chemistry. A lot of the medicines that provide relief to anxiety disorder patients centre around altering the brain chemistry. It therefore seems to be logical that the level of certain chemicals in the brain plays a role in causing anxiety disorders.

Personality factors. It has become apparent to researchers that certain personality types appear to be more likely to develop anxiety disorders. Characteristics such as a low self-esteem and poor coping skills seem to contribute to the onset of an anxiety disorder.

Life experiences. Exposure to certain types of events, behaviour, people and places can have a massive impact on a person’s state of well being and it is believed that these may well trigger the onset of certain anxiety disorders. The types of experiences that would be on this list include: a natural disaster, serious accident, unexpected death of a loved one, terrorist incident, war, violent personal assault, or some other type of life-threatening event.

It may be one or more of the above factors that is the root cause of an anxiety disorder, however it should be comforting to know that many people worldwide suffer from anxiety disorders at some point in their lives, there are many effective treatments available and much further research is being done into the causes of anxiety disorders.
